Mosahefu (Monique S. Hernandez-Fuentes) is a guitar technician, gear enthusiast, pedal collector, guitar lover and musician of nearly 25 years. Upon seeing her mother’s thirty year-old Harmony acoustic for the first time at the age of seven, MSHF’s six string love affair began. Shortly after, she began taking guitar lessons with esteemed instructor Bill Schrey at Gelb Music in Redwood City, California from 1993 to 2003. In high school, she began to experiment with the world of guitar effects, contributing to a life-long passion of gear acquisition syndrome, a problem she is still plagued with to this day.

Nowadays, when she isn’t working on her side prog metal project Rayearth, MSHF is currently doing marketing for GuitarTricks.com and occasionally working on her guitar tech YouTube channel, MoTone. She has also previously hosted EMGtv, attended Winter NAMM since 2014, and previously managed San Francisco Guitarworks. Occasionally MSHF does guest authorship around the internet, including Guitar World & Guitar Player, Harmony Central, Effects Bay, Reverb, Ultimate Guitar, Project Electric Guitar and a few others. Her non-guitar hobbies include all-things Japanese, gardening, cooking and spending time with her cat, Tora.
