Mosahefu is a gear enthusiast, pedal collector, guitar lover and musician of nearly thirty years. Upon seeing her mother’s thirty-year-old Harmony acoustic for the first time at the age of seven, MSHF’s six-string love affair began. Shortly after, she began taking guitar lessons with esteemed instructor Bill Schrey at Gelb Music in Redwood City, California from 1993 to 2003. In high school, she began to experiment with the world of guitar effects, contributing to a life-long passion of gear acquisition syndrome, a problem she is still plagued with to this day.

She is currently streamlining a new blackgaze project, San Francisco-based Embrium, whose debut EP is slated for 2021.
