Mosahefu is a gear enthusiast, pedal collector, guitar lover and musician based in the Bay Area of Northern California. Upon seeing her mother’s thirty-year-old Harmony acoustic for the first time at the age of seven, MSHF’s six-string love affair began. Shortly after, she began taking guitar lessons with esteemed instructor Bill Schrey at Gelb Music in Redwood City, California from 1993 to 2003. In high school, she began to experiment with the world of guitar effects, contributing to a life-long passion of gear acquisition syndrome, a problem she is still plagued with to this day.
